Privacy and site information

Last updated: August 17, 2026

Hebrew is a free educational website for practising Hebrew touch typing. It has no accounts, payments, advertising, or behavioural analytics.

Data kept in your browser

The trainer processes keystrokes in your browser. Progress, the current practice session, language choices, and display or audio preferences are stored in localStorage on your device so the requested features work between visits.

Text entered on the virtual keyboard remains in the current browser tab and is not sent to the site operator. The website does not create an account or a server-side learner profile.

Technical server data

Like most websites, the hosting server automatically receives technical request data such as the IP address, requested path, date and time, browser user agent, referrer when supplied, and response status. Server logs are used only to deliver and secure the site and to diagnose technical problems, and are retained only as long as reasonably needed for those purposes.

This technical data is not used for advertising, cross-site tracking, or building visitor profiles.

Speech, fonts, and external links

Pronunciation uses the Web Speech API supplied by your browser or operating system. Depending on the selected voice and vendor, speech may be processed locally or by that vendor under its own privacy terms. Hebrew does not separately send the spoken text to its server.

The site serves its web fonts locally and does not contact Google Fonts. If you follow a link to another website, that website receives the request and applies its own privacy policy.

Your choices

You can remove saved progress and preferences at any time by deleting the site data for hebrewtyping.app in your browser settings. You can also use the site with browser speech disabled.

For questions about server data or a privacy request, contact the project at the address below. We may need enough information to locate the relevant records and verify that a request is legitimate.

Changes to this notice

This notice may be updated when the site or its data practices change. The current version and its update date are published on this page. The English version is the reference version if a translation differs, without limiting rights provided by applicable law.
